I did exactly this on an earlier promotion like this. There is a 95 cent fee to issue the SuperCertificate by e-mail, but the individual certs I purchased with it were free of shipping charges.
I'm not that impressed with some aspects of giftcertificates.com, but I might keep using them if they keep handing out these promos.
For instance, with my SuperCertificate(s) I purchased a gift cert for an online site, to be issued by e-mail only. The recipient got it, but there was evidently NOTHING indicating who it came from! There was NO way for me to attach a note or an e-card or anything saying "Merry Christmas to you from me." Seems very strange since other websites offer this feature.
And for certs that are non-emailable, their shipping is slow.
So, you are forewarned.
